FPV DRONE FRAME

Goal

The goal of this project is to design a drone that weighs less than 250 grams and is suitable for professional filming. In addition, the drone should be easy to upgrade. The main issue addressed is the current lack of lightweight drones that meet these requirements. Therefore, this project explores how a drone can be developed that meets the needs of film professionals while staying within the 250-gram limit.

A frame for the drone was chosen based on testing and evaluation. The design process involved the use of generative design techniques, which allowed for the creation of an optimized structure based on specific performance criteria. Additionally, biomimicry principles were incorporated, drawing inspiration from natural structures to enhance the frame’s strength, efficiency, and overall functionality. This approach ensured that the frame was both lightweight and durable, meeting the drone’s requirements while mimicking the effectiveness of natural forms.
